Aljada Skate Park scoops two prizes at Transform Awards MEA

Aljada Skate Park has been recognized with two awards at the 12th Transform Awards MEA, which was held recently in Dubai.

The annual event rewards best practice[s] in corporate, product and global brand development work, reflecting the transformative power of brand strategy and design across the Middle East and Asia.

Arada’s creative team picked up a Gold award for “Best Expression of a Brand on Social Media Channels” and a Bronze award for “Best Visual Identity from the Sports and Leisure Sector” for its work on the Aljada Skate Park.

The commendation from the judging panel cited “the vibrant energy and dynamism expected of a global skating brand while being locally relevant and authentic, connecting Sharjah’s local skating community to the international community”.

In addition, the panel said that the visual identity and social media expression for Aljada Skate Park was “impactful, unique and entirely place-making”.

Melissa Bayik, Chief Brand Officer of Arada, said: “From visual identity to social media, our goal was to channel the energy of the skateboarding world while celebrating Sharjah’s unique spirit.[”] “These awards are a testament to our team’s passion for creating bold, authentic and community-driven brands that resonate both locally and globally.”

This year’s recognition adds to other wins at the Transform Awards in the past, where Arada has won awards for Manbat, its partnership with the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Origins Koffee Lab & Kitchen and Hungry Wolves (all in 2022) and for its corporate brand (in 2019).
