HH The Ruler of Sharjah appoints HH Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Deputy Ruler

HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has appointed HH Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Arada, as Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Petroleum Council.
Sheikh Sultan holds a number of senior positions in both the public and private sectors in the UAE. He is Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, Chairman of Sharjah National Oil Company and has been a member of Sharjah Executive Council since 2006. He is also Chairman of Basma Group, a privately owned company that invests in a number of different sectors, and Chairman of Tilal Properties, in addition to numerous other roles and responsibilities.
He has served as Arada’s Chairman since the company’s foundation in 2017.
A keen photographer and champion of Sharjah’s cultural scene, Sheikh Sultan also oversees the annual Xposure International Photography Festival, the annual Sir Bu Nair Festival and the annual International Government Communication Forum.
