Arada wins Platinum Award for its Home for a Home initiative at the Global ESG Awards
News: 9 October 2025
Arada has been recognised with the Platinum Award at the Global ESG Awards for its flagship social impact initiative, Home for a Home, under the category ‘supporting economically weaker sections’. This category aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 1: No Poverty, which calls for global efforts to end poverty in all its forms everywhere.
Launched in 2022 by the Arada Foundation, Home for a Home directly links every home sold by Arada during Ramadan to the construction of a safe and permanent shelter for a family in need.

Since its inception, the initiative has delivered or pledged more than 2,100 homes, positively impacting over 76,000 individuals globally across communities affected by poverty, displacement, or humanitarian crises.
Working alongside trusted international partners such as The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF), UNHCR, and Human Concern International (HCI), the Arada Foundation ensures every project is locally relevant and community driven.
What distinguishes “Home for a Home” is its holistic and scalable approach. Beyond building homes, the initiative supports local infrastructure, education, healthcare and employment opportunities, creating ecosystems that empower families to achieve long-term stability. Projects have been successfully implemented in Kenya, Chad, and Syria, demonstrating the initiative’s flexibility and impact across diverse contexts.

“We are honoured to receive the Platinum Award, which recognises not just the impact of Home for a Home, but the real lives it touches,” said Rosa Piro, Director of Arada Foundation. “This initiative reflects Arada’s commitment to creating sustainable communities and empowering families and it shows how private-sector action can make a meaningful difference in addressing poverty.”
