Empowering women, and providing them with the opportunities to grow in their chosen fields, is a commitment that we live by as a nation. From STEM to sustainability, Emirati women are at the forefront of various industries. At Sheraa, over 50% of our startups are founded and run by women, and such events help shine a spotlight on the creative and impactful work of these changemakers.”

As Sharjah’s biggest master developer, Arada hosts a busy event calendar throughout the year to benefit both residents at its communities, Aljada and Nasma Residences, and the wider public. Events held in the last year have included a major cultural concert to celebrate the UAE’s 50th National Day, a series of major sporting events and the ‘Summer of More’, an ongoing series of free activities for local families during the summer months. Arada’s events team also arranges free entertainment at Aljada and Nasma Central every weekend throughout the year.

In collaboration with Arada, the Emirati Women’s Day focused talks is one of the series of events that Sheraa hosts to celebrate and empower women entrepreneurs and changemakers from across industries. With the aim to transform Sharjah as a thriving innovation and entrepreneurial hub, Sheraa organizes a host of events all-year round, including the landmark annual Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF), a celebration of the spirit of entrepreneurship that gathers an authentic community of changemakers to experience three days of uplifting conversations, deep connection, personal growth and transformation.
