Aljada kicks off free “Summer of Fitness” campaign at YourSpace

News: 13 July 2021

40 hours of fitness classes a week offered to public for free until 4 September

Get ready for an exciting Summer of Fitness at fast-growing Sharjah destination Aljada, where a packed programme of physical and virtual fitness classes are being offered to the public for free.

The initiative, which is part of efforts by Arada, the master developer that is building Aljada, to encourage active healthy living, began earlier this month and will continue until 4 September.

The Summer of Fitness is held in collaboration with Wellfit, the new health and fitness destination, which opened its first branch at Nasma Central at the Nasma Residences community earlier in May, and is being held at YourSpace, the premium indoor events space next to the Aljada Discovery Centre.

Targeting individuals, friends and families in Sharjah, the Summer of Fitness initiative will incorporate 40 hour-long of separate men’s and women’s classes every week, which consist of LES MILLS™ classes held in a safe and socially distanced environment enabling guests to enjoy a wide range of world-class group fitness workouts. The group classes follow cutting-edge exercise science, mixing music and motivation to provide plenty of energy for participants.

Ray Tinston, Director of Events, Arada, said: “We are delighted to present this extensive programme of fitness classes at Aljada, which comes as part of our commitment to shape a healthy living for everyone at Aljada, which complement the impressive lifestyle offerings for the community’s residents and visitors alike.”

Anyone wishing to register or book classes should visit the Wellfit website at www.wellfit.me.

Located in the Muwaileh district of New Sharjah, Aljada is the Emirate’s largest ever megaproject. The community’s entertainment district, Madar at Aljada, opened its doors in February 2020 and is now welcoming 100,000 visitors a month, while the first homes in Aljada were delivered earlier this year.
