Aljada hosts special Mother’s Day event for Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation

21 March 2021

On Saturday 21 March, Arada was proud to host a special Mother’s Day event for Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, an independent government organisation set up to support the needs of orphans and their guardians and raise community awareness about their issues and rights.

A total of 60 guests were invited to the event, which was held at Madar, the new family entertainment destination in Aljada, Arada’s lifestyle community in Muwaileh.

To ensure a safe and socially distant evening, the celebration took place at Aljada’s drive-in cinema, where the mothers were treated to soft drinks and popcorn before watching videos of their children thanking them for their dedication.

The attendees were also presented with awards and gifts including flowers at the event, which concluded with each guest being provided with a delicious dinner box.

The event was attended by HH Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and Mrs Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director of Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation.

HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Arada, said: “As one of Sharjah’s leading companies, we have a responsibility to facilitate close connections with the Emirate’s wider community by creating partnerships that add value locally, as well as supporting worthy causes wherever possible.

“Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation continues to work tirelessly in addressing the many needs of orphans and their mothers in the UAE, and Arada is therefore proud to support this unique Mother’s Day event.”

Arada has partnered with a number of local organisations in recent months, including the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Sharjah Women’s Sports and Sharjah International Film Festival.
