Arada celebrates one year in Australia with major milestones and community impact

Australia: 20 August 2025

Arada is celebrating its first anniversary in Australia, marking twelve months of growth, community engagement, and the creation of places that matter.

Since establishing its Australian operations in August 2024, Arada has built a strong local presence. The company acquired Roberts Co, a Tier One Australian construction firm, strengthening its delivery capability and local expertise. It expanded its team to 30 passionate professionals and moved into a new office on Castlereagh Street in Sydney’s CBD, sharing space with the Roberts Co team to enhance collaboration.

The last 12 months has also brought significant development achievements. Three projects across Castle Hill and Campsie were declared State Significant by the Housing Delivery Authority, accelerating the delivery of 900 new homes for Sydney.

Arada partnered with acclaimed global design practice Woods Bagot to lead project design, with Global Design Director Domenic Alvaro noting: “We’re not just building homes; we’re creating vibrant, dynamic spaces that breathe new life into Sydney’s future.”

Guided by the Wangal people, the company’s projects in Campsie and Canterbury are being shaped as places where world-class architecture meets tradition — culturally rich, deeply connected to Country, and built with care for future generations.

Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “From our first day in Australia, our vision has been to deliver thriving communities and homes people love. This first year has been about building strong partnerships, delivering design excellence, and making a meaningful contribution to the places where we work.”

The past year has additionally included an Australian team visit to China, strengthening international partnerships, exploring innovative design approaches, and building deeper relationships with key collaborators.

Arada’s commitment to community has been equally strong. The company became a proud sponsor of the Canterbury Lions Football Club, supporting grassroots sport and nurturing young talent in Sydney’s Inner West.

It celebrated International Women’s Day by sponsoring the Women in Leadership event, recognising inspiring voices across the Canterbury Bankstown community, and joined the inaugural I RUN Active CB Festival — Canterbury Bankstown’s first-ever all-ages running event — to champion local wellbeing.

In partnership with Women’s Community Shelters, Arada also provided Biyani House with a safe haven while its new modular housing is being built, ensuring women and children in crisis had a secure and supportive place during this transition.

As Arada looks to its second year in Australia, it remains committed to design integrity, sustainability, and creating communities that foster genuine belonging and enrich everyday living.
