Arada Board Members conduct tour of Aljada construction site

Arada’s Chairman, HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, and Vice Chairman, HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal recently undertook a tour of Aljada, where construction on Sharjah’s largest mixed-use project is well under way at several sites on the 24 million sq. ft. plot. The two officials were joined by Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Chief Executive Officer of Arada, and Khalifa Al Shaibani, Director General of Basma Group and Board Member of Arada.
The Board Members were greeted at the Aljada site office by members of Arada’s development team, who have been overseeing all works at the project.
After reviewing progress in the site office, the Board Members visited Aljada’s first residential buildings – the first four Areej Apartments blocks – which are being constructed on the eastern corner of the site. The contract to build these blocks was awarded to Modern Building Contracting Company in July last year, and the four buildings in total will comprise over 250 units.
Also included on this section of the tour was a review of progress at the first three Rehan Apartments buildings, which are being built by Intermass Engineering & Contracting Company, following a contract win in December.
The Board Members then went on to inspect progress at the first phase of the Central Hub, a new leisure and entertainment destination for the UAE, which is being designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. They received a full onsite briefing from the development team and were updated on the next construction milestones.
The first phase of the Central Hub, which includes Arada’s experiential sales centre, is scheduled to be completed in September this year. Including events spaces, children’s play areas and a food truck zone, Sharjah’s newest community space will be complemented by a packed calendar of family-friendly activities.
