Arada announces new Community Centre for Nasma Residences

Arada has announced that it will build a beautifully designed community centre at Nasma Residences, its record-breaking project in the heart of new Sharjah.
With total built-up area of 4,900 square metres, the Community Centre is a major addition to a project that already contains an impressive range of amenities for its residents. Located adjacent to Nasma Residences’ 13-acre landscaped park, the Community Centre will feature a health club with swimming pool, a clinic, a nursery, a quick service restaurant and café, plus 1,230 square metres of retail and other services.
The concept for the Community Centre was designed by Arada’s inhouse architecture team, and is another example of the developer’s determination to continue adding assets to its developments, thus increasing the value of the homes based there.
Elie Mrad, Head of Architecture and Design at Arada, said: “This Community Centre is strongly connected to the park, so we created courtyards to integrate the building with the park and to achieve privacy between the various functions, such as the nursery, gym and café areas. We’ve also added a transparent façade system on the park side, which blurs the line between indoor and outdoor, and a discrete solid façade on the street side, which makes the building look more like community than metropolitan retail.”
As well as the Community Centre, the project’s residents will also benefit from Nasma Square, a 5,000 square metre retail mall, a GEMS international school, a mosque and two smaller community parks. Those amenities are in addition to new projects being built adjacent to Nasma Residences, which include Sharjah Botanical Park, Sharjah New Mosque and Tilal Mall.
Launched in March 2017, Nasma Residences sold out the first of the community’s five phases in less than a month, making it the fastest-selling residential real estate project in Sharjah. The first phase is almost complete, with the first handovers set to take place by the end of this year. In total, Nasma Residences contains more than 900 homes, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019.
