Arada supports Shams Award for Arabic Content, reinforcing commitment to creative and cultural excellence

Arada supported the second edition of the Shams Award for Arabic Content, reinforcing its commitment to advancing creative and cultural ecosystems by celebrating Arab content creators and innovators and recognising outstanding media works that have contributed to the growth of the Arab media landscape.
HH Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, honoured the winners across eight main categories. These included Best Short Film, Best Arab Podcast, Best AI-Generated Video, Best Unproduced Film Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Actress, reflecting the diversity of the Arab creative landscape and the growing engagement with the awards.

The Shams Award aims to support Arab talent and promote the creation of meaningful content that reflects Arab cultural values, while strengthening the regional and international presence of Arabic content. The initiative reinforces Sharjah’s position as a leading hub for culture, media and creative industries, and highlights the growing importance of these sectors as drivers of cultural exchange and economic opportunity.
The awards saw broad participation from creators and content producers across the Arab world, receiving 1,210 entries. The ceremony was attended by leading figures from the media, content and cultural sectors in Sharjah and across the region, and also included the recognition of sponsors.
