Aljada hosts 10th edition of Xposure International Photography Festival for second year

Aljada has hosted the 10th edition of the Xposure International Photography Festival, which took place from 29 January to 4 February 2026. The seven-day event was held in a purpose-built venue on Aljada’s East Boulevard and attracted significant public attendance throughout the week.
Organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau under the theme “A Decade of Visual Storytelling”, Xposure 2026 presented an expanded programme of exhibitions, workshops, and screenings. A key focus this year was the introduction of a dedicated film component, including 66 curated screenings, headline conversations, and an outdoor cinema activation.
The 2026 edition featured 95 exhibitions showcasing over 3,200 artworks and hosted more than 570 events across 12 thematic zones. It welcomed over 420 photographers, filmmakers, and visual artists from 60 countries, offering a broad spectrum of work across genres including documentary, fine art, travel, and nature photography.
Hosting Xposure 2026 further reinforces Arada’s vision for Aljada as a leading cultural destination in Sharjah, supporting creative engagement and professional exchange across the global visual media industry. Located close to the festival venue, the newly opened Nest Hotel also played a key role in accommodating guests and offering a fresh, immersive experience at Aljada.
