Arada attends key CBCC industry event to discuss future of NSW housing
Australia: 22 July 2025
Arada recently attended the sold-out Housing & Planning NSW 2.0 event hosted by the Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce — a night that brought together over 300 leaders across government, business, and development for a timely conversation on the future of housing in NSW.
The highlight of the evening was the launch of the NSW Housing Pattern Book by the Hon. Paul Scully MP, NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces. This initiative offers architect-designed home templates for just $1, all eligible for fast-tracked approvals in 10 to 20 days. It’s a bold move aimed at unlocking supply while maintaining quality and design integrity.
Also announced was the Pre-Sale Finance Guarantee, designed to remove financial roadblocks and help viable projects progress more quickly — a welcome step for the development sector.
“We’re encouraged by these reforms because they represent a genuine shift toward implementation,” said Ed Natour, Development Director at Arada. “At Arada, we believe good design and delivery must work together to create liveable, future-ready communities.”
As we prepare to launch new projects across Greater Sydney, Arada supports a planning system that’s more responsive, more collaborative, and more focused on outcomes that work for both people and place.
