Arada Foundation donates bikes to support SmartLife Foundation community outreach
News: 11 July 2025
Arada Foundation has donated 29 refurbished bikes to SmartLife Foundation, a Dubai-based NGO dedicated to supporting blue-collar workers through skills training, health services and education. The bikes, sourced from Yalla, Arada’s mobility solution offering e-bikes and e-scooters in Aljada and Masaar megacommunities, were converted into pedal-powered models to extend their usability and promote circularity.
These bicycles will be used by SmartLife coordinators to access labour camps across Dubai, where they identify and engage workers for participation in the foundation’s development programs. Arada Foundation is funding the refurbishment as part of its ongoing community outreach and sustainability commitments.

Rosa Piro, Director of the Arada Foundation, said: “This initiative with SmartLife Foundation reflects our commitment to creating long-term, meaningful impact within the communities that need it most. By repurposing mobility assets from our Yalla bikes, we’re extending their value while enabling SmartLife’s important work across labour camps.”
The donation was announced at SmartLife’s graduation ceremony held recently in Dulsco Events Arena in Al Quoz, where Arada and its Yalla initiative were recognised for their contribution to this impactful partnership.
