Arada team members share master planning insights from the UAE during Australia visit

Australia: 3 July 2025

Arada recently welcomed senior colleagues from its UAE operations to Australia, where the team shared insights drawn from the company’s flagship master planned community, Aljada, located in Sharjah. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange global learnings and explore how Arada’s development philosophy can inform and enhance its growing portfolio in Australia.

Arada’s approach to development goes beyond construction—it centres on creating integrated communities with lasting impact. Drawing on four key pillars—nature, people, place, and purpose—Arada designs environments that prioritise wellbeing, sustainability, and meaningful connection.

Aljada, a transformative mixed-use development in Sharjah, exemplifies Arada’s vision for vibrant, future-focused communities. The project seamlessly blends residential, retail, cultural, and recreational spaces, offering shaded walkways, green parks, wellness hubs, and public art installations. Every element is designed to foster community engagement and improve quality of life.

Arada’s design principles remain consistent across regions: create places that are deeply contextual, people-centric, and environmentally responsive. In Australia, this means drawing on the local suburban fabric, respecting Indigenous heritage, and embracing the natural qualities of the landscape. Homes and public spaces are designed to maximise natural light, airflow, and serenity, while supporting practical, everyday living.

Wellbeing is embedded into every aspect of Arada’s communities—not treated as an optional feature but as a central design driver. Developments are created to serve a diverse range of lifestyles and life stages, from young families to downsizers and retirees. Shared spaces such as cafés, green corridors, wellness centres, and event lawns are designed to foster community connection and encourage active, healthy living.

Arada’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its use of natural materials, low-impact technologies, and green infrastructure. These elements are carefully integrated to ensure each community remains resilient, comfortable, and environmentally responsible well into the future.

By combining international expertise with local understanding, Arada continues to deliver communities in Australia that are thoughtful, inclusive, and enduring. The knowledge exchange from the UAE visit underscores the company’s focus on building places that not only meet present needs but also create a strong foundation for future generations.
