Arada executive to help judge American University of Dubai architecture competition

News: 28 April 2019

A senior Arada executive has been appointed to the judging panel for a design exhibition being hosted by American University of Dubai (AUD)’s School of Architecture, Art and Design (SAAD).

Elie Mrad, Arada’s Head of Architecture and Design, is taking part in the school’s annual Senior Showcase Spring Exhibition, the objective of which is to showcase the accomplishments of the graduating students of the Department of Architecture.

The two day event will see students display their work at the AUD Knights Arena on the university’s campus, after which the judging panel will review the exhibits. An awards ceremony for the best works will take place on the evening of the second day.

The exhibition takes place between Tuesday 30 April and Wednesday 1 May.

Mrad has also been a key figure in Arada’s collaboration with another major UAE educational institution, the American University of Sharjah (AUS). Students at the highly rated Sharjah university are currently designing a pavilion that will be built in Arada’s Aljada megaproject, as part of a course at AUS’ College of Art, Architecture and Design.

Earlier this year, Mrad was named as an Industry Leader in the field of design and architecture by Construction Business News Middle East, a Dubai-based trade publication.
