Arada’s Head of Architecture and Design speaks at the Leaders in Construction UAE Summit 2019

A senior Arada executive has taken part in one of the local contracting industry’s landmark events, the Leaders in Construction UAE Summit 2019, which is run by the Gulf’s largest trade publication, Construction Week.
Elie Mrad, Arada’s Head of Architecture and Design, was a member of a high-level panel discussion entitled ‘Potential for Profit – Identifying Diversification Opportunities’, during which participants covered a number of critical areas that will define the future of the construction industry.
Also taking part in the panel were Kez Taylor, CEO of ALEC, and Grigoris C. Christofides, Senior Vice President, China State Construction. The panel was moderated by Sachin Kerur, Partner, Reed Smith.
Among the topics discussed were the current market conditions in the sector, the geographic markets outside the UAE that hold the most promise, consolidation and joint ventures.
The event was held on 17 September at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, with around 150 construction executives attending.
The keynote speech was given by Eng Anwaar Al Shimmari, Director of Design and Chief Innovation Officer at the UAE Ministry of Infrastructure Development.
