Arada records 12 million safe man hours at Aljada

News: 3 March 2021

Arada has recorded 12 million safe man hours without a lost time injury (LTI) at Aljada, the developer’s mega project spreading over a 24 million square foot area in the heart of New Sharjah.

Maher Metraji, Arada’s Development Director for Aljada, said: “We are immensely proud of this major safety milestone achieved recently at Aljada. This record would not have been possible without the active participation of our 4,000 people workforce, including our development, contractor and consultant teams, who have been committed to and accountable for a safety first culture. This is particularly significant as construction work at the Aljada site has intensified since last summer, and we have redoubled our efforts to provide the increasing number of workers with extensive health and safety trainings on the rules and procedures to mitigate risks, including those associated with Covid-19 prevention measures.”

Current workforce consists of contractor teams from Modern Building Contracting, Intermass Engineering & Contracting, Klampfer Middle East, Best Building Contracting, Al Zamalek General Contracting, Al Marwan General Contracting Company, Proscape, GECO Mechanical & Electrical and Al Anqaa Roads Maintenance, in addition to consultant firms: Arif & Bintoak, Arcadia Engineering, Mimar, Jacobs.
